Description of the imaginary friend

Emily

Alice (10 years old)

Emily is my only imaginary friend. She’s a brownish-red little bunny, about 10 cm tall. Her short hair is cobalt blue and aquamarine (her favorite colors and, of course, mine too). She likes to go barefoot. She has superpowers, like teleportation and super speed! Every time I’m in the car on trips longer than 10 minutes, she runs and follows our car at top speed. She never wears skirts or tights; instead, she always wears t-shirts and shorts. My nickname (Alemy) is made from Alice + Emily. She does gymnastics. She has a chubby little face, which makes her even more adorable. She doesn’t have a specific age… obviously, she’s a child. She’s very independent, since she has superpowers… sometimes she goes out for a little stroll. She protects me at all times. She’s friendly, smart, loyal, faithful, and… well, she has many other qualities! I’m not (obviously) her mother… I’m her best friend! She’s very, very creative, and since I live in a whimsical house, I could even talk to her, but what I want to say to her, I think it, and she understands me. She’s curious and follows me everywhere. She’s adorable. Her favorite animals are imaginary friends. I got to know Emily better by reading the “Encyclopedia of Imaginary Friends” by Bimba Landmann, from which this museum was created. I think it’s FANTASTRIGLIODIGLIO (a word invented by me and Emily) to have an imaginary friend. My teacher Florinda showed us a video about Anne Frank. She told us that writing in a diary was like writing to an imaginary friend. She gave us paper and pens, and we got to work. From there, I met the imaginary friends of my classmates: Biscotto, Risata, Gocciolina… all fantastic! But my favorite is Emily, and I love her dearly.
